He was a blacksmith, learned his trade from his uncle Eleb Faxon of Roxbury, removed to Salisbury where he married, removed to HalLowell, Penobscot, Me., then to Boston, and returned to Braintree. Mrs. Rhoda Faxon was baptized Dec.6,1829. Mar.8,1854 - Mr. Charles Faxon leased his farm to J. Carver - Journal of Geo. H. Arnold

Edward Faxon Jr. elected hogreave 1772, surveyor of highways 1783,1785, warden 1787, surveyor of highways 1790. Resided in his grandfather Josiah Faxon's house until removal to South Precinct in 1777 at Faxon's Corner now Brookville, Holbrook, corner of So. Franklin & South Sts.
