He was a shoe maker & farmer, resided on Commercial St., where he built a house in 1777, now standing (1953) at west side of the R.R. crossing near Front St. He was elected to the Committee on Alewives 1783-6 inc. & 1792, sealer of leather 1785 and 1787,88 & 91, warden 1785 and surveyor of highways for Middle Parish 1791.
