--- "a child of Thomas" buried Sep.-1727 (Ch.Rec.).
He resided near Howard and Hayward Sts. probably to the eastward of his grand father's estate, which his father had inherited. He was elected surveyor of clapboards and shingles 1729, on a committee on stones on the common 1732, constable 1738 but refused to serve, same 1739, was recorded against dividing the commons in 1753. He was a grantee of a Narraganset township (Bedford, N.H.) in sight of his father, & soldier in 1676.
S.D.105-247: Thomas Copeland to Ebenezer Thayer 50 acres S. on grantee & Samuel Arnold, N. on Jonathan Hayward, E. Fore River, W. on John Hayward. Mar.30,1765.
