He was elected hogreave 1747, constable 1773 but provided a substitute. He was a blacksmith, bought a homestead in 1754 on Pond St. Braintree, west side, at now Randolph line (S.D. 92-69) and was taxed until 1811, though in present Randolph, but with others objected in 1793 and allowed to be as of Braintree.
