He was elected constable 1744 but was excused, deerreave 1749,1750,1751, surveyor of highways 1753 and 1773, was on a committee concerning the act relating to wardens 1783.
He lived in present Holbrook where his lands are several times mentioned in the laying out of roads. Had a large farm, lived on Plymouth St., was successful in acquiring property says Dr. Alden.

S.P.88-398: Will of John White of Bra., gent., Apr.3,1777 - Jul.7,1789 "being in a good measure of health".
To w. Ruth improvement of one third of estate, real & personal for life. To children Cornelius, John, Ruth, Solomon, Caleb, Lydia, Baley, Simeon, Levy & Isaac White the residue equally and at decease of wife her share equally, share & share alike. Wife Ruth executrix. Witness: Ebenezer Pratt, Randall Thayer, Timothy Thayer. Will presented by Cornelius, eldest son, the executrix being dead. Cornelius & Solomon White made administrators with the will annexed.

36 acres with a dwelling house & barn improved by Cornelius White £129/12/.
11 acres with 1/3 of a dwelling house & 1/3 of a barn improved by Solomon White £60/10/.
30 a. improved by John White £72. 20 a. improved by Caleb White £90. 30 a. fresh meadow £180. 2 a. salt meadow £12. 6 a. cedar swamp £20. Also a small piece of land at the Iron Work
River for a landing place £2/8/. Total £2231/2/6.
