They joined the church at now Randolph in 1769 and in 1819 the Baptist Church of Randolph at it's formation. He was a Revolutionary Soldier, and resided on his father's and grand father's homestead. He was elected surveyor of highways 1777,1778, warden 1780,1790, tithingman 1781, fenceviewer 1782,1787-90, and surveyor of highways for the South Precinct in 1784.
