Randolph, was elected fenceviewer 1771, constable for So. Precinct 1782, but was excused, surveyor of highways 1788 and 1791. He was in the French War & a Revolutionary soldier.
Joseph Tower Jr. was baptized, as an adult Aug.12,1753 at South Parish with his brother & wife.

John Tower while in the Army was wounded in the knee at a fort and was not heard from afterwards, Tower Gen. (1891). He enlisted April 1759 at Braintree a.41, had been at Frontenac in 1758 (Reg. Vol.15). Resided with his father on Pond St. Braintree at Randolph line, was elected hogreave 1746.

Joseph Tower probably had but one wife, possibly two, certainly not three.
He is called "setwork cooper" in deeds, resided 1731-4 on the 15th lot on present Tower Hill, Randolph, then with son John who lived on Pond St. Braintree west side, at Randolph line.
He was elected constable 1743 but was released from serving.
(married) intention only Mar.27,1756, Elizabeth Arnold, probably widow of Ephraim4 Arnold.
Perhaps it was she whose intention Elizabeth Arnold & Joseph Tower was filed Mar.27,1756, but if so, they did not marry.
(married) intention only Sep.1759, Hannah Jones, widow of Ephraim Jones, born at Weymouth, buried Sep.17,1760 as widow of Ephraim Jones, dau. of Joseph & Sarah (-) Richards of Weymouth.
