He made his will, 21 Mar. 1839, and it was proved 1 Jan. 1842 He mentions his wife Sarah, his sons Jacob Tirrell and Eliphaz Tirrell, his daughter Tirzah, wife of Alexander White, his daughter Elizabeth, wife of Elihu Thayer, daughter Maria, wife of William B. Coolidge, his granddaughter Clarissa Ann Colson, daughter of Brackley Colson, and Clarissa his wife, now deceased, the other children of Brackley and Clarissa Colson, viz., Warren Colson, William Colson, Elbridge Colson and Ebenezer Colson; Albert Hunt, who married his daughter Sally, now deceased, and their children, viz., Alfred Hunt, Henry Hunt, Francis HunL, Andrew Hunt and William Hunt; sons Abner D. Tirrell and Francis Tirrell.

His brothers Benjamin Tirrell and Jared Tirrell, executors. His heirs, Cyrus Tirrell, Q. A. Tirrell, P. H. Tirrell, Lucy Chamberlin and Rosa C. Bates, petitioned for James P. Chamberlin to be administrator. (Norfolk Probate, 18408.) He married at Weymouth, 24 Dec. 1815, Mary Blanchard.
