died - alive 1755, and probably in 1765.
They resided on land given by his father at the present N.W. corner of North & Oak Sts., Randolph until 1755 when he sold his house and 30 acres to Nathaniel Littlefield of Stoughton, and no further record is found of him except that a deposition of William & Thomas Curtis in 1841 states that they know Sampson Dunbar, a mulatto when he lived with Cornelius Thayer near the pond, date not stated, but must have been sometime after 1766 as Sampson Dunbar was living with Gen. Ebenezer Thayer about 1766, according to the testimony, and it could not have been earlier that the Curtises recalled him at Cornelius Thayer's if the depositions are correct, since William Curtis was born in 1753. Cornelius Thayer, however, sold land to Sampson Dunbar Jan.13,1755, same month he sold his homestead to Nathaniel Littlefield (Norfolk Deeds 131-113 & S.D. ).
No children, apparently
Cornelius Thayer Jr. was elected constable 1738. He was a fenceviewer 1739 for So. Precinct, and Cornelius Thayer, cooper, was surveyor of highways 1746 for So. Precinct.
