A daughter and 3 more sons died under one year (see gravestone of mother).
There was no son Hezekiah as given in the Thayer Memorial (1835) and elsewhere.
He left a will dated Aug.2,1728, calls himself a yeoman, "being very sick and weak", proved Jun.6,1738, gives his wife Abigail and two youngest sons Eleazer and Jeremiah his homestead and 2/3 of a wood lot adjoining Moore's Farm between said farm and the lot I gave sons David & Ezekiel, they paying to son Eliakim £5.
Son Jeremiah to have learning instead if he wants it. To son Cornelius remainder of the lot on which his house stands, he paying my daughter Jemima Spear £15. To son David & Ezekiel who have built together the lot where their house stands, they paying Jemima £5. To son Richard the 20th lot in the River Division in Cochato. To son Gideon 1/2 acre of cedar swamp, and to Christian, daughter of my son Moses, deceased, equally 10 acres in the 8th lot in the upper division in Cochato, being in partnership with Josiah Faxon, Daniel Thayer and heirs of my brother Nathaniel Thayer. To son Eliakim 5th lot in the 13th draught.
Wife Abigail and son Eleazer executors. Gideon Thayer became administrator of the part of the estate not disposed of by will and his account dated Feb.6,1738(9) (which was chiefly son Richard's inheritance) says the real estate was given to him as Cornelius Thayer, eldest son quit claimed it, and Ezekiel Thayer, second son refuses it, and he is to pay his brothers and sister, Ezekiel, Eliakim, Eleazer, Jeremiah, David, Moses, and Jemima Spear
