He lived along North Main St., Randolph, north of Liberty St.
He was elected hogreave 1723, constable 1734 but refused to serve, surveyor of highways 1745,1748.

S.P.74-335: Will of Benjamin Spear, yeoman, Dec.18,1762 - Mar.3,1775:
To wife Sarah all personal estate forever & improvement of all my home place for life & she executor. To son Benjamin 7 acres adjoining to him, being part of that I bought of Capt. Ebenezer Thayer Jr. To son Isaac £13/6/8 to be paid by my son Joseph. To son Moses 30 acres in Bendall's farm so called. To son Joseph all my home place at his mother's decease, he paying as above. Wit: James Penniman, Azariah Faxon, Dorcas Penniman.

Benjamin, Sarah, Jacob & Isaac were baptized Aug.26,1733, Moses Jan.12,1734/5, Joseph Sep.27,1741

He lived on the S.E. side of Chestnut St., Randolph, was elected surveyor of highways 1753,1762, constable 1764 but was excused and again elected 1766 and excused again from serving.
