Resided in the "Soper House" still standing (1950), very much altered, on Soper House Lane, off Washington St. near River St.
He was on a committee in 1787, surveyor of highways 1789, on a committee on schools 1790.
Eliza M., 1st wife of Stephen Soper was adopted dau. of Isaiah Thomas of Worcester.

died age 45, gs.
He was elected tithingman 1762, warden 1763,4, surveyor of highways 1768, hogreave 1769, constable 1771 and later, and selectman 1775. He was a merchant lived in a small house on Commercial St. corner of Mill Lane, East Braintree, but prospered and in 1772 built a mansion on the south side of Commercial St. which is still (1949) standing, though now altered by brick veneer about opposite Mill St.
