He removed to Watertown about Jan. 1714 and was warned out from there in March 1714, and was warned out of Boston before July 29,1723, afterwards was in Marblehead a short time but settled in Boston soon after, permanently.

He resided in present Quincy until near end of his life. He was elected hogreave 1729, after that held many other offices, was an officer in French War 1758-9, selectman 1759 from No. Precinct.
He went to reside with son Joseph in present Holbrook and died at his house 1780 a.80.
His funeral was postponed nearly a week on account of the depth of snow and finally the corpse was drawn to the burying ground on a hand sled, the roads being impassible for sleighs. - Data of Edward Everts Jackson - a descendant

He held many town offices beginning in 1726, selectman 1737-42 & 1746, sergeant 1737-42, lieutenant 1742-8, captain 1748-1751, major 1751-9, during the French & Indian War. He was elected deacon of the Quincy church May 29,1752. Inherited his father's homestead at foot of Pervis Hill.
