John Beale bought a house and 1 acre from John Bass of Windham, Conn., son of Dea. Thomas Bass in 1712 and sold it in 1734 to his daughter Sarah wife of William Veazie. (S.D. 84-150 & 50-213) It was at the N.W. corner of Hancock & Granite Sts., Quincy bounded on the "buring place".
He was elected field driver 1702,1705, sealer of leather 1710,1713-4,1716-21,1725-34,1736-41, fenceviewer 1713,1721, constable 1715 but excused, 1743 but excused.

To wife Lydia improvement of half real estate, dwelling house & 1/2 of barn while a widow & for her sole disposal 3 cows, 1 heifer, 8 sheep, my riding beast & horse, furniture, my watch & all household stuff except for beds & their proper furniture & the care of my four youngest children, Alice, Elisha, Asa & Nancy to her sons to age of 14 & daus. to age of 18 for education out of half my real estate.
