John Pratt of Weymouth, "being weak in body," made his will Mar. 1782, and it was probated at Weymouth before Oliver Wendell, judge of Probate, 4 July, 1786. He bequeathed to his wife Deborah, to his sons Micah and Isaac, and to his daughter Hannah Bates. To his son Zenas at 21 and son John at 21. To son Micah 35 acres and a dwelling on the southerly part of his farm, "he to pay my daughter Sarah at 18," E30. To his son Isaac35 acres with a house, "he to pay my daughter Huldah L30 at 18.1' To daughter Hannah Bates a cow. To daughter Sarah S30 at 18. To two sons Zenas and John all his real estate, they to pay his grandson William Pratt 130 at 2. Son Micah, executor. Witnesses: Nathaniel Bayley, Josiah Pratt and Uriah Beals. Inventory mentions his farm of 150 acres; total valuation, X650 3s 2d. (Suffolk Probate, 85: 419, 637.)

He made his will 8 Jan. 1825, and it was proved 14 Aug. 1832. Therein he mentions his wife Sarah Pratt, his son Josiah Pratt of Windsor in Berkshire County, son Jonathan Pratt, Jr., son Nathaniel Pratt, his four surviving daughters, Betsey Emerson, Sarah Pray, Mary Bent and Clarissa Bates, the children of his deceased daughter Susan Cook and the children of his deceased daughter Hannah Penhallow, his son William Pratt to have remainder and be executor. James Pratt of Weymouth, gentleman, made his will 17 Apr. 1829, and it was proved 14 Jan. 1832. Therein he mentions his daughter Rebecca Pratt, his son James Pratt, his daughter Polly, wife of Benjamin Burrell, his granddaughters Mary Holbrook Burrell, daughter of Benjamin Burrell, Jr., and Susan Pratt, daughter of his son John Pratt, deceased, each at 16 years of age, Charlotte Phillips, late widow of his son John Pratt, his ten grandchildren, not named, each a Bible, Stones to be erected in memory of his deceased wife and himself, his daughter Betsey, wife of Randall Thayer, daughter Polly, wife of Benjamin Burrell, jr. (Norfolk Probate, 15042.)

Administration to Noah Torrey, 12 Feb. 1833, in which he says that James Pratt, bousewirght, left a widow and six children. Sally Pratt was the widow. (Norfolk Probate, 15044.)
