Removed to Braintree before 8 Mar 1728.
He was called a housewright in deeds, of Weymouth until 1728 when he was called to Braintree having sold his Weymouth lands.
Rev. Samuel Niles refers to him as Dr. Benjamin Ludden. He was in Braintree for a time early, as in 1714 a town way (Middle St.) was laid out across his land to Benjamin Clarks & Joseph Allens, "thence up to Cochato as the way now runs," and in 1733 a committee was chosen to settle the way between him and Nathaniel Thayer. He was on various committees 1728-1743.
No probate records as he sold his homestead Mar.30,1749 to sons Joseph Ludden 2nd and Benjamin Jr. 30 acres, the farm where I now dwell, house barn etc. South on grantees and North on John Ludden.
