William Linfield 3rd was elected fenceviewer 1772,1774,1779, surveyor of highways 1777 & 1782 and was on a committee to regulate the treasury for So. Precinct 1782. William Linfield Jr. was on a committee for hiring men for the War 1777, and was elected hogreave 1786. Dea. William Linfield was on a committee of the So. Precinct to divide the town for schooling 1790. Resided on So. Franklin St., Holbrook, was made deacon in 1782, says Dr. Alden

David Linfield Jr. elected surveyor of highways for So. Precinct 1783, fenceviewer 1784, warden 1787. Lived on the homestead in a house still standing (1857) a little south of his grandfather, was killed by lightning Jul.31,1790 says Dr. Ebenezer Alden.
