William Hunt held many town offices, including tithingman, fenceviewer, hogreave, constable, selectman, moderator of town meeting, Representative, and Deacon, and is last mentioned in 1765. William Hunt of Boston & Braintree was a partner in the Land Bank of 1740. Resided on Commercial St. East Braintree, near Quincy Ave. south side, where he kept a tavern.

He was elected fire warden 1780 and field driver several times. Rev. War Soldier. Lived on North Main St. Randolph, west side on the hill not far south of Milton line. His second wife who lived to a great age was born and lived there all her life, was commonly referred to as "Aunt Beulah" as Wm. H. Woodman mentions in his "Ancient Randolph Deeds".
