Resided on West St. in 1806. Bates says he may have lived in the Capt. Samuel French place, later Collins place, N. side, where Blue Hill Cemetery now is. In 1803 Bates says he was in the employ of Gen. Ebenezer Thayer & probably resided in the old Thomas Faxon house west of Washington St. near Hollis Ave. which blew down in the gale of 1815

married 1st -?, She was not Deborah Damon of Scituate as stated in Vinton Memorial. Deborah Damon m. Feb.8,1666 at Scituate Thomas Woodworth, not Thomas Holbrook who married 2nd near 1690 Mary White of Weymouth.
The Vinton Memorial (1858) p.336 says he had a 1st wife Deborah Damon, born 1645, dau. of John Damon of Scituate, married her in 1666. (error) I find no confirmation of it. (see over) His will dated Oct.16,1728 proved Jan.9,1728/9 mentions only wife Mary and children Thomas, Hannah, Mary Copeland, grandson Seth Copeland.

He was elected surveyor of highways 1698, constable 1705.

He was a soldier 1676 in King Philip's War, and a grantee of a Naragansett township (Bedford, N.H.), alive in 1728 when the list was made, but grants not made until 1733.
Scituate V.R. (Mayflower Descendant Vol.1 p.233)

These may certifie, whom it may concern, that whereas Trustrum Davis of Scituate hath been a suitor to my daughter Sarah Archer and if they shall proceed to marry I shall not hinder these proceedings: Brantery the 16 of March 1695. Thomas Holbrooke, Mary Holbrooke (witness) Stephen French, Joseph Polle.
These may certifie all persons whom it may concern that Trustrum Davis and Sarah Archer of Brantry were married the 19th of March 1694/5. Tristram Davis son of Robert of Yarmouth was born 1654, m. Sarah Archer & had dau. Elizabeth in 1695, then disappears - Deane's Hist. of Scituate.
