He was in the Indian War 1675 with Suffolk Troops. Resided in Milton, Boston, and Braintree.
Ebenezer Hayden was admitted freeman May 15,1690. He was a staymaker as land records show, a slaymaker as the division of estate gives it.

He owned a house & land at Boston, at S. end fronting on Long Lane westerly & 2 1/2a. salt in Braintree.
Samuel Bass guardian to his daughter Ann, aged 7, who was to receive a legacy from her grandfather Ebenezer Hayden.
Division Oct.6,1720 to widow Anna, only son William, only surviving dau. Anna, dau. Ruth Bass, deceased, and her dau. Ann Bass, the front end of dwelling house in Boston, William to have rear end. Widow to have 1/3 of all income from real estate & 1/3 of personal estate.
S.D.11-85, Dec.16,1745, William Hayden of Braintree, weaver, & Joseph Hayden of Boston, house carpenter, to Josiah Torrey of Boston, quit claim to all our right in front end of house, and land in Long Lane, one half late estate of Anna Hayden, spinster, deceased, & all our right that was assigned to William Hayden in the land adjoining.
William Hayden & Dinah Hayden admitted to Brattle St. Ch. Boston May 7,1710 and had son William born Dec.13,1710 (bp. Dec.17,1711), Anna bp. Mar.9,1712, Jeremiah bp. May 10,1713, Hannah bp. Jul.8,1714, Joseph bp. Sep.18,1715.

He was elected tithingman 1736, constable 1736 but refused to serve, surveyor of highways 1740, tithingman 1745, selectman 1750 and on a committee 1751. Resided on father's homestead lands, Washington St. Braintree, then on father's place on Pond St. east of Town St.

Whether Ebenezer Hayden & Rebecca (Staples)(French) Tower were married after their publishment is hard to say, perhaps not as her death is recorded Jan.25,1801 a.86 as "The widow of John Tower".
