He was elected warden 1773, fenceviewer 1774,1779, surveyor of highways 1781 and had an abatement of his tax in 1791.
Said to have lived in 1769 in the Thomas Greenleaf house on Adams St. that stood in front of the later W.W. Grenaugh house, still later Harry L. Rice place, where son John was born in 1769, probably tenant farmer there.
