Nathaniel French 2nd was elected hogreave 1759,1762,1777, surveyor of highways 1769,1770, fenceviewer 1774, was on the Fish Committee 1775,1784-5-6. Lived on east side of Washington St. opposite present Thayer Academy, where son Josiah lived until his death in 1851.

To Mary 1 1/2 a. fresh meadow, the long strip & 3 1/2 a. meadow in upper meadow & 4 a. of old pine swamp adjoining Caleb Hobart being part of the same lot.
