She was chosen guardian of her children George Washington White, above 14, and of Harriet White and Maria White, under 14, on 4 Nov. 1817. (Norfolk Probate, 19850.)

NANCY WHITE made her will 30 Jan. 1867, filed 20 Mar. 1871. She mentions her daughter Harriet W. Harris, her grandchildren, her grandson George D. White, the wife of William Capon Of Boston, Suffolk, Marianna Ingalls of Boston, her daughters Mrs. Vose, Mrs, Turner and Mrs. Harris, the children of her late son James, the children of her late daughter Susan Webb and her granddaughter Mrs. Merrill. William C. Murdock of Boston and Seth Turner of Randolph ex. ecutors. She died at Weymouth, 12 Mar. 1871. Heirs were Ann W. Vose of Boston, widow, Maria Turner, widow of Randolph, Harriet W. Harris of Boston, children; children of Susan W. Webb, viz., Susan W. Webb, Margaret T. Merrill, widow, Mrs. Nancy B. Jackson, Eliza P. Gibbons, widow, Christopher C. Webb, George W. Webb; children of James White, deceased, viz., Averick S. White, Margaret T. Hardwick, John White, James White, Horace White and Henry White. (Norfolk Probate, 19938.)

He was a Lieutenant in 1749. He inherited one-half of his father's estate in 1762. He sold his farm of 50 acres, including his dwelling house, barn, and cornhouse, for; L333 6s. 8d. "in which sd Samuel now dwells" to Cotton Tufts, Esq., 3 Apr. 1769. The farm was "adjacent to Rev. William Smith's near his dwelling house." Unity , his wife, signed, and both acknowledged the deed 6 Feb. 1770. (Suffolk Deeds, 116: 116.) This farm was at Weymouth Heights in the North Parish

The Census report of 1790 shows his family to contain one male over, 16 years of age, one male under W, and five females. Administration granted to his son-in-law, Asa Pratt, 4th, cordwainer, at the request of his widow, Deborah Badlam, and his son John P. Badlam, and Stephen Badlam, 15 Dec. 1817. He was chosen a committee to collect dues on Huntstown (now Ashfield) in 1744. (Nash's History of Weymouth, 44.) He "being aged" made his will 1 May, 1759, as follows: To his wife Mary the use of a room and his household stuff, including pewter, brass and silver and X8 a year for life. To daughter Mary Billings, L15. To daughter Sarah Humphrey, L15. To daughter Deborah Ford, X15. To daughter Lois Badlam, L30, provided she lives unmarried after his decease, but if she marry before to have L15. His two sons Samuel and William, his housing and lands in Weymouth, Abington and Huntstown equally, they to be executors. Witnesses: James Humphrey,Nathaniel Humphrey, and James Humphrey,jr. Proved 1 Jan. 1762. (Suffolk Probate Records, 60: 4.)
