It is possible that Lucinda remained in Georgia to give birth while George was pioneering in Illinois, or that George was "commuting."

BROGDON FAMILY
Merideth Brogdon was a small boy when his father died in Wade County NC. His mother's second husband was William Wilson whose two children were Mary and Lucinda. Mary married a Bagley and Lucinda married a Moore. Lucinda and her two daughters came to Gwinnett County and lived with her brother, Merideth Brogdon.
Merideth Brogdon b 1750 d 1840 m Eleanor Redfern b 1755 d 1823 and settled in that section between Suwannee and Buford in the early history of the county. [Among] Their children were:
1 Wiley Brogdon b 2-18-1779 d 6 -11-1845?
2 George Brogdon (b 1783 d 1869)?
3 Catherine Brogdon m a Castleberry
4 David Brogdon m seven times and had no children
5 Sarah Brogdon m a Simpson
6 Lucinda Brogdon m a Slaton and lived in Illinois
